Resources
The tools and resources I use to grow my online business.
Hello,
Over the last 5 years of running my online business, through a whole lot of trial and error, these are the tools and tech I have put in place to keep my business running smoothly - and keep my sanity too!
To be completely transparent, I’m an affiliate for some of these products and services, so if you sign up I may receive a commission. But rest assured, I only ever recommend something I love myself.
Website Creation
Kajabi
I now use this platform for my main website and for my membership and all my other products.
Before I moved to Kajabi I had a complicated set-up involving various different platforms and things came to a head when a team member I relied on completely to keep everything working together announced they were leaving on an extended trip - right over a crucial launch. It was huge learning for me and I vowed never to allow myself to be in a position again where I couldn’t do what I need myself to get my products and services out into the world. It doesn’t mean I do it on a day to day basis, I have a team member who is much more efficient than me to do this on a regular basis. But I know if needed to I could produce a sales page and put a new product out myself. And it’s a GREAT feeling.
And the reason I can do this is because Kajabi is a great all-in-one solution - AND it is simple and intuitive too.
It gives you:
Course/Membership/Program Software
Landing Pages
Checkouts that integrate with Stripe and Paypal
Funnel system
Email system
Affiliate system
And so much more

Thrive Cart
Although Kajabi has a checkout option, I love the functionality of thrivecart. You can create really great checkout pages in minutes. And if you plan to use affiliates, thrivecart has fab affiliate functionality
This checkout software integrates with Stripe and Paypal and includes all taxes, including VAT and EU VAT. They also send VAT invoices.
Call To ActionEmail Management System
ConvertKit
Although Kajabi has email functionality, which they are improving all the time, I would recommend you keep your email list separate. There is so much value in your list - it is a huge asset of your business - and I think it is sensible to keep it ringfenced and separate rather than having all of your eggs in one software platform. This is a great email system that has both funnel, automation, and CRM options. I run all of my funnels through it, in a much simpler way than a lot of the other email software on the market.

Google Docs is essentially Google’s version of a cloud-based Microsoft Office. You’ve got the documents, you’ve got the spreadsheets, you’ve got the presentations, you’ve got the forms, the drawings, and more.
You can create and share these files with whoever you like. You can brand them up. You can collaborate in real time. It’s a one-size-fits-all kind of tool.
